(Page i) (Page 1) Agricultural Short Course, State Normal School 1908 The Second Annual Short Course in Agriculture for practical farmers and farmers' sons will be held at the Normal School, Dec. 7 to 19 inclusive. It will include a convention for farmers on Dec. 7, a Corn Show with $122.50 in prizes, and an auction of the prize seed corn on Dec. 19 besides the regular work in Corn growing, Stock judging, Veterinary, Dairying, Breeding, Horticulture, Poultry, Concrete, and many other interesting subjects. Besides the lectures and demonstrations, much work will be of the nature of conferences, round tables, and experience meetings. All attendants are at liberty to ask questions, to discuss any argument offered, to introduce resolutions and to be in every way a part of the conference, Some of the best stock in Adair County will be on hand for the demonstrations and expert judging. INVITATION. Every farmer in Adair County is invited to attend, to bring his sons and to stay the entire two weeks. County Superintendent of Schools Sipple says that every farmer boy should attend and that he will see that not only will students not be marked down in their studies for absence but that they will be credited with every bit of work that they do at this short course in agriculture. The Adair County Agricultural Society, the Boys Encampment, the Corn Show, the Flower Show, the Poultry Show, the desirabilty of organizing a general Agricultural Fair, Future Short Courses, and many other interesting questions will be discussed and acted upon. Every farmer considering himself at all progressive must attend. EVENING. 1:30--The work of the morning will be continued, the corn will be judged and the exhibit will be thrown open to the public.
