ORDER OF PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION IN THE TEACHERS COLLEGE There is an established order of procedure for registration which applies to all students. A student registering for the first time or one who has not been enrolled since September, 1917, observes every step in the procedure. A student who has been enrolled since September, 1917, may start at point 3, but at the time he pays his incidental fee he must present a classification card or transcript showing the matriculation number or return to the Credentials Committee and purchase for 25c a duplicate classification card. 1. CLASSIFICATION. On reaching the Teachers College, the student goes first to the Committee on Credentials which is in session throughout enrollment day in Room 201 Science Hall. With this committee the student deposits high school credentials and also college credentials, if these have not been previously filed at the office. The Committee on Credentials then issues a classification card in duplicate. If the student has not completed 15 high school units, but is 21 years of age and has ability to pursue college courses, a special classification card is issued. 2. MATRICULATION. The student next goes to the committee in charge of matriculation in Room 101 Library Building. Here the student presents the classification card and duplicate, fills out a matriculation card, and has (Page 3) the matriculation number entered on both the classification card and duplicate. The classification card is deposited with the committee in charge of matriculation and the duplicate is held by the student. 3.PAYMENT OF INCIDENTAL AND ACTIVITY FEES. The student presents the classification card and pays the fees in Room 100 Library Building. The incidental fee is $12.50; the activity fee, $2.50. A check for $15.00 should be made payable to Byron Cosby. The activity fee covers the following named items: Student entertainment $0.25 Athletics .35 Index .35 Convocations .20 Committee on Recommendations .10 Debating .10 Dramatics .20 Music .20 Year Book .75 Total $2.50 4. CONSULTATION WITH FACULTY MEMBERS. The student consults faculty members with whom he wishes to take courses and fills in his receipt with program of studies selected. This work will be done in the Reading Room of the Library. The receipt is signed by the fhculty member whom the student chooses as faculty adviser. 5. FILLING IN OF PERMANENT PROGRAM CARD. The student is now ready to fill in the permanent program card for the office files. This work is done in a section of the Reading Room of the Library. At the same time he fills in a blue class card for each study selected. 6. FILING OF PERMANENT PROGRAM CARD AND CLASS CARDS. The student now files the permanent program card and all class cards with some member of the committee in charge. This must be done as soon as possible. If the program is not completed and all cards filed within 24 hours after payment of Incidental fee, the student is subjected to a one-dollar fine. REGISTRATION IN THE SCHOOL OF MUSIC A student registering in the School of Music will observe the same steps in procedure as those in the ordinary College courses and in addition to those steps he will get a card from Mr. Biggerstaff showing the special music fees due. The student then returns to Room 100 Library Building and pays the special music fees.
